Yes it is, very soft. But with my current mouse, it doesn't really work well, the fabric on it makes my the mouse a bit twitchy sometimes, and that's quite annoying. :)

Oh yea, go out and get one but if you got an optical mouse, that may be a bit of a problem. :D It's very comfortable!
